Golden Whip Stream

Golden Whip Stream is a picturesque natural stream canyon corridor in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, known as "Landscape Gallery", "The Most Poetic Stream" and "Landscape essence" in Zhangjiajie. It is known for its tranquility, beauty, and agility, and is one of the most classic and relaxing hiking trails in the forest park.

Named after a peak called "Golden Whip Rock" by the creek. The Golden Whip Rock towers into the clouds, resembling an ancient weapon whip, shining with golden light in the sunlight, and is one of the iconic peaks and pillars of Zhangjiajie.

Along the way, you can look up at the various stone peaks on both sides, which are given vivid names and stories:
Golden Whip Rock: symbol, resembling a whip.
Splitting Mountains to Save Mother: It's like a mountain peak split by agarwood with an axe.
Wenxingyan: A profile image resembling Lu Xun or Gorky.
Twin turtles exploring the stream: Two stone turtles seem to be poking their heads at the stream to drink water.
Meeting at a Thousand Miles: Two stone peaks embrace each other like lovers who have been separated for a long time.
Master disciple pilgrimage (outdoor filming location of Journey to the West): Several stone peaks resemble Tang Monk, Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Monk, vividly lifelike.
Clear and dynamic stream water
Water quality: The stream is clear all year round, refreshing and cool.
Hydrophilic experience: You can play and take photos in multiple shallow waters. Summer is particularly popular among children.
Primitive secondary forests and wild macaques
Forest Oxygen Bar: The trail is covered by dense primary secondary forests and lush vegetation, making it a true "natural oxygen bar".
Monkey Park: This is the main habitat for wild macaques. Along the way, you will frequently encounter groups of monkeys, either jumping on trees or begging for food on the roadside. (Important reminder: Do not actively feed or tease, keep your handbag and food safe to avoid being snatched).
A serene and poetic atmosphere
Unlike the vast and spectacular scenery on the mountaintop, the experience of Jinbian Creek is introverted, tranquil, and full of details. Strolling while listening to the sound of flowing water and bird songs is an excellent way to relax both body and mind.
