The Potala Palace

The Potala Palace is located on the Red Mountain in the center of Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region. It is the highest and most magnificent palace in the world. It is a Tibetan ancient building complex integrating palaces, castles and temples. It is the largest and most complete ancient palace building in Tibet. It was listed as a world cultural heritage in 1994 and is a landmark of Lhasa and even the entire Tibetan Plateau.

Mount Qomolangma

Mount Qomolangma, the main peak of the the Himalayas, is located at the junction of Dingri County in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China and Solukumbo County in Nepal. The north slope is in China, and the south slope is in Nepal. It is the highest mountain peak on Earth, with an elevation of 8848.86 meters. In Tibetan, "Mount Everest" means "Mother of the Earth", and in the West, it is commonly referred to as "Mount Everest".

Laigu Glacier

Laigu Glacier is a rare glacier group composed of six marine glaciers in Changdu,Tibet. Namco

Namco, which means "Heavenly Lake" in Tibetan, is a large lake with the highest altitude in the world and the first of the three holy lakes in Tibet. Mount Kailash

Sapu Sacred Mountain

Motuo

Motuo County is located in the southeast of the Tibet Autonomous Region, under the jurisdiction of Linzhi City, at the lower reaches of the the Yarlung Zangbo River and the southern foot of the eastern the Himalayas. It is the lowest altitude, wettest environment, and best preserved ecological area on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, and also the last county in China to have access to highways. In Tibetan, it means "hidden lotus flower".

Kharola Glacier

Karola Glacier is located at the junction of Langka County, Shannan City, Tibet Autonomous Region and Gyantse County, Shigatse City, about 71 kilometers away from Gyantse County. It is one of the three continental glaciers in Tibet  and the nearest glacier to the highway. It is widely known for filming the movie "Red River Valley" here. The glacier is backed by the 7191 meter high Ningjin Anti Sand Peak, and the front edge of the ice tongue is about 5560 meters above sea level. It is only 300 meters away from the 318 National Highway and is a must pass for tourists traveling along the Lhasa Yangzhuoyongcuo Jiangzi line to Tibet.

Jokhang Temple

Jokhang Temple is located in the center of Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region. Its full Tibetan name is "Raza Qulangzu Lakang", which means "the God of Sheep Earth changes into the Buddha Temple of Sakyamuni". It is the most sacred temple in Tibetan Buddhism, not because of its grand scale, but because it enshrines the 12-year-old statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, also known as "Juewo Buddha" - a statue that holds the same status in the hearts of Tibetan believers as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem and the Kaaba in Mecca.

Tashilhunpo Monastery

Tashilumpu Temple is located at the south foot of Niseri Mountain in Shigatse City, Tibet. It means "auspicious Xumi Mountain" in Tibetan. It is one of the six major monasteries of Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism and the residence of Panchen Lamas of all generations. It, along with Ganden Monastery, Sera Monastery, and Drepung Monastery in Lhasa, is known as one of the four major monasteries of the Gelug sect in Lhasa. In the Tibetan Buddhist system, its status is second only to the Potala Palace.

Nanyi Gou

Nanyigou is located in Nanyiluoba Ethnic Township, Milin County, Nyingchi City, Tibet, at the northern foot of the the Himalayas, on the south bank of the the Yarlung Zangbo River, and is the valley of Nanyiqu, a tributary of the lower the Yarlung Zangbo River. This is the largest settlement of the Luoba ethnic group, the least populous ethnic group in China. With a depth of over 40 kilometers and primitive forests covering the sky, it is known as the "highest green secret realm on Earth".

Xiuba Castle

Xiuba Ancient Castle is located beside the 318 National Highway in Gongbujiangda County, Nyingchi City, Tibet, on the hillside of the foot of Biri Mountain. It is a group of ancient military towers built of rubble. It is one of the oldest, largest and relatively well preserved ancient fortresses in Xizang. It is said to be related to the war of Songtsen Gampo to unify Tibet and the history of the confrontation between Tang and Tibet. The local workers called it "King Gesar's Camp".

Basong Tso

Basong Tsois located in Cuogao Township, Gongbujiangda County, Nyingchi City, Tibet. It means "green water" in Tibetan. The lake is 3480 meters above sea level. It is the sacred lake of Tibetan Buddhism Nyingma Sect and the first national 5A scenic spot in Xizang with natural scenery. It is different from the desolate feeling of most lakes in Xizang. Instead, it is surrounded by primitive forests, snow capped mountains and meadows. It has the deep and humid temperament just like a Nordic fjord. In Linzhi's title of "Xizang Jiangnan", this is the most significant part of Jiangnan.

Barkhor Street

Located in the center of Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region,
Barkhor Street is a circular path around Jokhang Temple. In Tibetan, "Barkhor" means "middle circle". It is one of the first historical and cultural famous streets in China, as well as a rare ancient road with multiple functions in the world. It is not only the most sacred route for Tibetan Buddhism to transform scriptures, but also the most well preserved century old street in Lhasa. It is also a "living" Tibetan cultural museum.
