Guangren Temple is the only Gelugpa (Yellow Sect) Tibetan Buddhist temple in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, and is known as the "pearl of Tibetan Buddhism in Shaanxi region". Although it is located in an ancient Han city, it is full of rich Tibetan customs and is a vivid witness to the exchange of Han Tibetan culture.

Unique Tibetan Buddhist cultural landmark:

In the 44th year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1705), Emperor Kangxi inspected the western border and, in order to strengthen ethnic unity and consolidate the northwest border, ordered the construction of this temple in Xi'an city for Mongolian and Tibetan monks passing through Xi'an to worship and reside there.
It is the only Green Tara main dojo in the country and also the pilgrimage site of Princess Wencheng in Chang'an. The name of the temple is "Guangren", which means "to show mercy widely".
