Hemu Village is located in Burqin County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, at the northernmost end of the Kanas Scenic Area. It is the farthest and largest village among the three Tuva settlements. It is known as the "Number One Village in China" and "God's Private Land" for its primitive and quaint wooden houses, stunning autumn colors, and peaceful atmosphere.
The most beautiful season for Hemu is undoubtedly autumn, but each season has its own unique charm.
Autumn (late September to early October) - Golden Fairy Tale World
This is the most famous season for Hemu. All the birch forests turn golden yellow, forming a sharp contrast with the dark green Siberian spruce and larch. In the early morning, the entire village is shrouded in a thick morning mist, with sunlight shining through the mist. Wooden houses, cooking smoke, golden birch forests, and winding Hemu River form a dreamlike oil painting, making it the ultimate paradise for photography enthusiasts.
Winter (November March of the following year) - Ink Painting Scroll
In winter, the crops and trees are wrapped in silver, and everything is quiet, like a pure kingdom of ice and snow. Thick snow covered the spire of the wooden house, and the distant mountains turned into a faint ink color. The snow quality here is excellent, making it an excellent place to experience snow activities such as snowmobiles, horse drawn plows, and snow jumping.
Spring (May June) - All Things Resurrected
The snow melts, the grassland gradually turns green, and wildflowers begin to bloom. Although not as intense as autumn, it is filled with a vibrant sense of hope.
Summer (July August) - a summer resort
At this moment, Hemu is a green ocean with a cool and pleasant climate. The snow capped mountains in the distance, the grasslands and forests nearby, have fresh and bright colors. It's a great season for hiking, horseback riding, and exploring.

Festivals: If you have the opportunity to encounter local festivals such as Aobao Festival and Zoulu Festival, you can experience their unique ethnic customs.
