The Hundred Dragons Elevator is a shocking artificial wonder in the Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot Scenic Area of Zhangjiajie. It is not an independent scenic spot, but the fastest and most unique means of transportation connecting the core scenic spot of the mountain (Jinbianxi/Shuiraosi Gate) and the mountain (Yuanjiajie). It is renowned for its title of "the world's tallest, fastest, and heaviest outdoor sightseeing elevator".
Vertical height difference: 335 meters
Operating height: 326 meters (including 172 meters of mountain shaft and 154 meters of ground steel structure derrick)
Operating speed: 5.25 meters per second (approximately 18.9 kilometers per hour)
Capacity: Approximately 4000 passengers per hour per one-way trip
Structure composition: Composed of three parallel independent elevators (each capable of carrying approximately 50 people at a time)
Honor: Entered the Guinness World Records and hailed as the "world's first ladder".
Three visual feasts during the ride (approximately 66 seconds)
The first half (inside the mountain, about 20 seconds): The elevator rises steadily in the pitch black shaft, with only the numbers indicating the height of the climb, full of anticipation.
Middle section (rushing out of the mountain, the most essence)! Across from it is the towering "Divine Weapon Gathering" peak forest (composed of 48 independent stone peaks), which is incredibly magnificent. This segment lasts about 30 seconds and is the golden time for taking photos and marveling.
The second half (entering the mountain again): The elevator enters the derrick at the top of the mountain and slowly slows down until it arrives.

Cultural taboo
China is a multi-ethnic country, and there are significant differences in customs and habits among various ethnic groups. Especially when traveling in ethnic minority areas, it is important to pay attention to cultural taboos, such as taking off shoes when entering a Dai bamboo house, avoiding pork in Hui restaurants, and treating Buddhist statues, scriptures, and beads as sacred objects that must not be touched. It is recommended to listen carefully to the pre-trip introduction provided by the accompanying personnel and respect local culture and customs.
