The National Museum of China is located on the east side of Tiananmen Square in Beijing, symmetrical to the Great Hall of the People. It is the highest historical, cultural, and artistic hall representing the collection, research, exhibition, and interpretation of representative physical evidence of Chinese culture by the country.

Must see national treasures:
Neolithic Age: Yangshao Culture's "Colored Pottery Basin with Human Face and Fish Pattern" and Hongshan Culture's "Jade Dragon" ("China's First Dragon").
Xia, Shang, and Zhou dynasties: Houmu Wu Ding (formerly known as Simu Wu Ding, the largest and heaviest bronze ware), Siyang Fangzun (the pinnacle of bronze casting), and Guo Jizi Bai Pan (a treasure of Western Zhou bronze inscriptions).
Qin and Han Dynasties: Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses in the the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor (exhibits in the museum collection), gold thread jade clothes (burial clothes of princes and princes in the Han Dynasty), drums and rap figurines (masterpieces of pottery sculptures in the Han Dynasty).
Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties: Tang Sancai Camel Carrying Music Figurines, Ming Xiaoduan Empress Phoenix Crown (Nine Dragons and Nine Phoenixes, Extremely Luxurious).
