2. Tour Overview


  • Destination: Northern Xinjiang (Urumqi, Kanas, Sayram Lake, etc.)
  • Duration: 8 Days 7 Nights
  • Transport: Private charter vehicle + scenic area shuttle buses
  • Accommodation: Selected hotels as listed; twin room by default. King bed available upon request (subject to availability in peak season).
  • Service: The driver, bilingual in Chinese and English, is responsible for reception and itinerary support, without a professional guide or scenic commentary.

3. Detailed Itinerary


  • Day 1: Arrival in Urumqi

    • Morning: Arrive in Urumqi, private car pickup from airport/train station, check in to hotel.
    • Afternoon: Free time. Optional visits: Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Museum, Hongshan Park, Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar.
    • Evening: Dinner at own expense. Stay at Urumqi Leston International Hotel or OBOR Home Hotel.

  • Day 2: Urumqi – Altay

    • Morning: After breakfast, drive along S21 Desert Highway across Gurbantünggüt Desert, visit Kelameili Desert Park.
    • Afternoon: Arrive in Altay, visit Jiangjunshan International Ski Resort. Optional sunset party & night skiing (ski pass not included).
    • Evening: Dinner at own expense. Stay at Altay Zunmao Gem Hotel or Jinjiang International Hotel.

  • Day 3: Altay – Hemu

    • Morning: After breakfast, drive to Hemu, enjoy snow scenery along the way. Enter Hemu Village by scenic shuttle bus.
    • Afternoon: Visit Hemu Scenic Area, Birch Forest, Hemu Bridge. Optional hiking or horse riding to Haden Viewing Platform.
    • Evening: Dinner at own expense. Join bonfire party. Stay at wooden lodge hotels in Hemu such as Hemu Xiangyun Inn.

  • Day 4: Hemu – Kanas – Burqin

    • Morning: After breakfast, go to Kanas Scenic Area, visit Kanas Lake, climb Guanyutai for panoramic frozen lake views.
    • Afternoon: Optional snowmobile activity in Kanas. Visit Shenxian Bay, Moon Bay, Wolong Bay.
    • Evening: Drive to Burqin. Dinner at own expense (local cold-water fish feast recommended). Stay at Burqin Baihualin Jinrun Hotel or Yeguangcheng Holiday Hotel.

  • Day 5: Burqin – Devil City – Kuitun/Dushanzi

    • Morning: After breakfast, drive to Urho World Devil City, take photos of snow-covered Yadan landforms.
    • Afternoon: After the tour, drive to Kuitun or Dushanzi.
    • Evening: Dinner at own expense. Stay at Kuitun Jinling International Hotel or Dushanzi Mayitake Hotel.

  • Day 6: Kuitun/Dushanzi – Sayram Lake – Bole

    • Morning: After breakfast, drive to Sayram Lake. Self-drive tour around the lake, enjoy ice sculptures and ice sledding activities.
    • Afternoon: After the tour, drive to Bole.
    • Evening: Dinner at own expense. Stay at Bole Sharbxili Hotel (Binhe Park Branch).

  • Day 7: Bole – Dushanzi Grand Canyon – Urumqi

    • Morning: After breakfast, drive to Dushanzi Grand Canyon, enjoy winter canyon scenery.
    • Afternoon: After the tour, return to Urumqi.
    • Evening: Dinner at own expense. Stay at Urumqi Leston International Hotel or OBOR Home Hotel.

  • Day 8: Urumqi – Departure

    • Morning: Breakfast at hotel, free time. Optional visits: Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar, Hongshan Park, Xinjiang Ancient Ecological Park Akhal-Teke Base.

  • Penalty fees apply for cancellation by travel agency or tourist before departure.

  • Final itinerary sent before 20:00 one day prior to departure; if paid after 18:00 one day before, sent before 12:00 on departure day.
