The Du Fu Thatched Cottage is a sacred site commemorating the great Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu, and is known as the "holy site in the history of Chinese literature". This is the former residence of Du Fu when he lived in Chengdu. He created more than 240 immortal poems here, including famous works such as "Joyful Rain on a Spring Night" and "Song of the Thatched Cottage Broken by Autumn Wind".

The layout of the thatched cottage is elegant, adopting a "mixed style" Chinese classical garden technique. The central axis is a memorial temple, and the east and west sides are natural gardens.
