Travel Tips

The Bird's Nest (National Stadium) was the main stadium for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and also the venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics. It is not only a world-class sports building, but has also become one of the iconic symbols of Beijing and even China.

Design concept:

Designed by Swiss architects Herzog and De Meuron in collaboration with Chinese architect Li Xinggang and others. Its shape resembles a "bird's nest" that nurtures life, symbolizing hope for the future.
Structural features:

Unparalleled steel structure: The exterior is woven from 42000 tons of steel into an irregular mesh structure, which appears chaotic but is actually subjected to uniform force, making it a masterpiece of integrated architecture and structure.
Internally and externally integrated: there is no distinction between facade and structure, the appearance is the structure itself.
Red Stand: The bowl shaped stand inside is made of warm Chinese red, creating a strong visual impact with gray steel mesh.
Sustainability: Designed a natural ventilation system that can utilize geothermal resources, reflecting the concept of a green Olympics.

Venue Visit
Stand area: Standing on the huge stands, you can imagine the magnificent scene of 91000 spectators shouting and feeling the grandeur of the venue. This is an excellent location for capturing the internal structure and the "Chinese Red" seats.
Olympic cultural heritage: It preserves the main torch tower, podium and other landmarks of the 2008 Olympic Games, and allows visitors to closely visit the snowflake torch platform and "micro fire" lighting device left over from the 2022 Winter Olympics, experiencing the inheritance of the Olympic Games.
The "Top Beauty" Aerial Corridor: (Core Experience Project) allows you to climb onto the roof of the sports stadium, stroll on the steel structure of the "Bird's Nest", and overlook the magnificent scenery of the entire Olympic Park (including the Water Cube, Olympic Tower, etc.) and Beijing's central axis from a height of nearly 60 meters, which is very stunning.
