The Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Xi'an Museum are located in the same park and are the former site of Jianfu Temple in the Tang Dynasty. This place perfectly combines the tranquility and solemnity of a millennium old pagoda with the rich history of a modern museum, making it a tourist destination in Xi'an with "one garden, two scenery" and extremely profound cultural heritage.
Architectural Miracle - Mystery of "Divine Union":
The Small Wild Goose Pagoda is a square brick pagoda with dense eaves. Originally 15 stories high, it now has 13 stories and is approximately 43.4 meters high. The most magical thing about it is that during several major earthquakes in Guanzhong during the Ming Dynasty, the tower body was split vertically from top to bottom by more than a foot, and then naturally recombined in later earthquakes. This phenomenon of "three cracks and three combinations" is regarded as an outstanding example of earthquake resistance in ancient architecture.
The tower has a beautiful outline and soft lines, and is a true relic of the exquisite Buddhist architectural art of the Tang Dynasty.
Treasure of Xi'an Museum:
Tang Sancai Flying Horse: On the back of a galloping horse with four open hooves, riding a young Hu man, the appearance is extremely vivid and can be called a national treasure.
In the fourth year of the Kaihuang reign of the Sui Dynasty, Dong Qin created a set of gilded Maitreya Buddha statues: a complete set of gilded copper Buddha statues with exquisite craftsmanship, which is a treasure for studying Buddhist art.
The high footed jade cup from the Qin Dynasty, the gilded phoenix bird bronze bell from the Han Dynasty, and the figurines of Tang Dynasty ladies are all exquisite and unparalleled.
