White Sand Lake

White Sand Lake is located in Habahe County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang. It is a small desert lake surrounded by sand dunes and an important scenic spot on the Thousand Mile Gallery in Altay Prefecture. It is known as a "desert wonder", whether it is the lake and mountain scenery in summer or the snow reflecting white sand in winter, they are like exquisite oil paintings.

Desert Wonders
Baisha Lake is one of the most typical desert lakes in Xinjiang, perfectly embodying the wonderful landscape of "sand water symbiosis". Standing on the sand dune overlooking, the blue lake water is like an emerald embedded in a white sand sea.
Watching Fish
There are various cold water fish in the lake, and from a high altitude, you can see fish swimming in the water.
Sand Mountain Climbing
The surrounding sand dunes can be climbed, and standing on the top of the sand dunes, one can overlook the entire Baisha Lake and the surrounding desert landscape.

Four Seasons Scenery
Summer (June August): The lake water is blue, the reeds are green, and the wildflowers are in full bloom, creating a vibrant picture.
Autumn (September to October): The leaves around the lake turn golden and orange red, complementing the white sand dunes and blue lake water, creating a colorful and vibrant season for photography.
Winter (November March of the following year): Snow covers the sand dunes and plants, the lake freezes, and the entire lake area becomes a peaceful ink painting.
