Yellow Dragon Cave

Yellow Dragon Cave is the absolute representative of the "cave" in Zhangjiajie's three-dimensional landscape system of "mountains, water, and caves". It, together with the "mountain" of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and the "water" of Baofeng Lake, constitute the three essence of Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot Scenic Area. As a World Natural Heritage Site and part of the World Geopark, Yellow Dragon Cave is renowned for its grand scale, rich landscape, and extremely high scientific research value. It is known as the "World Cave Wonder" and the "Best Cave Mansion in China".

Large scale: The total proven area is 100000 square meters, with a total length of 7.5 kilometers and a vertical height of 140 meters. It is divided into four layers and has a world leading scale.
Comprehensive content: The cave has all the landscape forms of karst caves, almost like a living textbook of groundwater literature.
The Three Wonders:
Dinghai Needle: An iconic attraction, a slender stalagmite that reaches 19.2 meters in height, with a diameter of only 10 centimeters at its thinnest point. It is estimated to have grown for 200000 years. The scenic spot has purchased a "sky high" insurance worth 100 million yuan for it, which is rare in the world.
Dragon Palace: The largest hall in the cave, with an area of about 15000 square meters, containing more than 1700 stalagmite and stone pillars, majestic and like the crystal palace of the mythical Dragon King.
Cedar: A stalagmite shaped like a giant pine tree covered in white "snow", crystal clear, and the focal point of photography in the cave.
