Yongxing Lane is located in Xiaodongmen, Dongxin Street, Xincheng District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province. It is an antique style block reconstructed within the ancient city wall, taking Yongxingfang, one of the "108 Fangs" of the Tang Dynasty, as its original site. It is not a traditional historical site, but a cultural tourism complex that integrates intangible cultural heritage, distinctive cuisine, and folk experiences.
Representative cuisine:
Zichang Pancake: a specialty of northern Shaanxi, made from buckwheat and as thin as cicada wings. It is wrapped with various fillings and served with spicy sauce.
Qishan Rolling Noodles: Representative of the Western Mansion, with sour and spicy tendons.
Xianyang Biangbiang noodles: as wide as a belt, with a strong taste, it is a symbol of Shaanxi noodles.
Chengcheng Water Pot Lamb: Clear soup and tender meat, paired with crescent cakes, is a beloved breakfast for Shaanxi people.
Experience of Guanzhong Folk Culture:
The Story of Wei Zheng and the Culture of Mirror Mirror: It is said that this place is the former residence of the famous Tang Dynasty prime minister Wei Zheng. There are sculptures of "Mirror Mirror" and a wish wall (also known as the "Throwing Bowl Wine" wall) in the square, which originated from the allusion of "learning from history". Tourists can experience "Throwing Bowl Wine" here, symbolizing the safety of broken pieces (year after year).
Intangible cultural heritage handicraft display: There are performances such as the old Qin Opera Opera, Huaxian Shadow Play, Northern Shaanxi storytelling, as well as handicraft workshops such as Paper Cuttings, clay sculpture, wood engraving New Year pictures, which can experience Shaanxi folk art closely.
Chang'an Hulu Chicken: a traditional famous dish in Xi'an, with crispy skin and tender meat.
Dingbian He Laoda Nianpi, Zhashui Potato Cake, Sanyuan Lao Huang Jia and other old brands from various places converge.
